After not being home for a month and hearing about bush fires and crazy weather changes nearby home and northern states flooding, it felt as if Australia was falling apart. So when I got home it felt really good to breathe that good old South Aussie air. Sometimes you don't realise how much you love where you are from until you have been away from it. It's super great to hear the familiar accents and slang terms that we often take for granted and don't notice once again. If any of you read Frangipani Princess you may have read her recent Australia Day post which tells us about her similar feelings upon her almost arrival home, which I completely related to. 

So I think what my point is that with the floods and a cyclone scheduled to hit the coast of Queensland on Thursday and the protest riots in Egypt I am very glad to be safely home with electricity, air conditioning and a nice comfortable bed to retire to once I am done with my homework tonight.
